Aloha Everyone and Mele Kalikimaka!!!
With the dawning of a brand new year on the horizon, and the beginning of an exciting new season of ministry ahead, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on what this past year has meant to the Kingdom of God.

It is said that “time flies when you’re having fun” and this year was no exception.  From beginning to end, “it was simply fine in 2009.” And although the economic picture grew dimmer, over time, it allowed the Light of the Lord to simply shine brighter. We celebrated as thousands made first time decisions for Christ and hundreds stepped into the water to be baptized.  And the momentum of ministry hasn’t shown any signs of slowing down.

New Hope will only be as vibrant as the heart and spirit of its volunteers and it was because of the vibrancy of your hearts and your passion to serve the King, that the Kingdom experienced such an exponential expansion this past year.

But “God ain’t done with us yet.” This next year marks several milestones for our ministry: It begins with a new season of Midweeks, set to launch Jan. 6, aimed at refreshing and refueling our volunteers through worship and the word of God. Come and you will be filled with the Holy Spirit.

We move immediately into an all new DCAT experience where “everyday heroes” discover the miracle inside of them. Mark your calendars for Feb. 3 - 5 at the Hawaii Convention Center. This one promises to inspire and move you into action for Christ!!

We’ll celebrate Good Friday and Easter April 2-4 at the Neal Blaisdell Center Arena.  It’s always a time of extraordinary celebration to the King!! NHO also turns “15” in September and we’re looking forward to what God has in store for His young “adolescent” child. And our youth performing arts ministry, “youth choir,” will be celebrating its 10th year. I hear something special is brewing and can’t wait to see what will be revealed when the curtain opens!! Then at year’s end we’ll once again celebrate in grand style the birth of the King, rejoicing with the angels.

I am so proud to be partnered with you and know the Lord still has the best plans still yet ahead for the ministry of New Hope. Thank you for all that you do and I am “tickled” to know that we get to do this as a team!!!

Merry Christmas and Have a Wonderful and Blessed New Year!!!

New Hope is all about HEART

At New Hope one of the things you’ll hear a lot is, “It’s all about the heart.” We believe that the heart with which we do anything is far more important than performance or perfection.

Why? Because the Lord looks upon the heart. He knows that if we do things with all of our heart, we’ve given it our all. Oh sure, we may not have done it perfectly; maybe we haven’t even done it very well. But we’ve given our heart! “How’s your heart?”

At New Hope, we often ask that of ourselves. And we constantly strive to answer it by reflecting Jesus with all of our heart. Because when it comes down to it, it’s all about the heart!
